Tecmark Stationery

At PrintDsign we offer a complete printing service, so can help companies large and small in all aspects of their print based requirements. Tecmark are a company based in Manchester specialising in digital marketing. We have carried out several projects for the one rate years including wall graphics and welcome signage at their main Piccadilly offices. We have also assisted with the creation of their stationery items. To get everything on brand PrintDsign were tasked with providing lithographically printed stationery items including business cards, compliment slips, letterheads, continuation sheets and A4 folders. All printed stationery items needed to showcase the companies chosen colours in exactly the same way on each item. So no matter the difference in paperweight or finishes, all colours had to match. This was not a problem, we offered the business cards and printed A4  folders with a matte finish and the other stationery items were printed on high quality  110gsm papers.

Curious – Wallpaper

We have worked with Cheshire based bridal shop The Case of the Curious Bride for several years now, we have worked with them to offer renewed shop signage, printed flyers, and lots of other print/signage products. On this occasion we supplied them with some bespoke patterned wall coverings for a large wedding fair they exhibited at in Manchester city centre.

Due to the supplied wall panels of the exhibition centre we could not offer a printed wall wrap or custom printed wallpaper for this project as it would not stick to the walls. So we created a faux wallpaper by printing the bespoke wallpaper pattern onto textured wallpaper and using velcro tape to hang it on the walls.

In addition to printing up the wall coverings we also created the bespoke wallpaper pattern using the companies logo and other subtle elements to give things a vintage look.

All in all the banner wall coverings worked well and helped create a sectioned off area for the bridal shop to exhibit in. And as a bonus the wall coverings are totally reusable on future exhibitions.

Here is a mini guide to the main print finishes we offer at PrintDsign for our printed folders.

Gloss

our gloss folders are great for giving your folder an eye catching finish that will make your brand stand out from the crowd.

Matte

our printed matte folders are the default option we usually go to for our customers. the matte finish helps to lower reflections, so any information on the folder is easier to read and overall the design on the print folder should be visible with more clarity.

Silk

silk finish is the standard finish for our printed folders at PrintDsign in Manchester.

the silk finish is the available for the lowest cost but that doesn’t mean they are cheap. our silk finish folders have a great overall look and offer the bonus of being a writable surface. So you have the ability to customise each folder to each client and write specific notes in it for them.

Spot UV & Digital Embossing

spot uv & digital embossing can be added to the printed folders we offer at PrintDsign Manchester. spot UV can add a gloss finish to sections of a matte finished folder. these gloss sections can help to transform the overall look of the folders are make them extra noticeable.

digital embossing is a form of spot UV that is significantly more accurate, so with digital embossing we can add gloss finished sections to individual text and intricate areas of the folder design. the beauty of digital embossing is that it can also vary in depth, so we can add high lift and low lift version to give even more depth to your printed folder design.

Why do you need a printed folder?

At PrintDsign we offer a complete range of printed stationery items for use in the business world.  one of the most useful items of stationery we offer for SME has to be the printed folder. business card are of course our number one seller for SME but there is only so much info you can have on a business card and if you are dealing B2B then handing over a flyer doesn’t really sed the correct message.

that is where our printed flowers come in. at prindsign we can create a bespoke designed folder for your cpm any that contains all of your branding (logo, contact details, colour schemes, etc), showcases information about your company and also gives the opportunity to store and distribute even more information view A4 or A5 papers stored inside.

if you are going for meeting with big clients, having a custom printed folder from PrintDsign really is something you have to consider.

even if you aren’t successful in your first pitch the client is likely to keep hold of your folder (as it looks to nice and expensive) and may even refuse it in future, so you could be in line for a call up on future work.

Business card finishes, what is best? …….gloss?….matte?…..velvet?…..spot uv?

how do you want your business to be perceived? that is the easiest way to decide what finish to have on your business card.

if your work is in the manual labour sector (builder, plasterer, plumber, etc) then a silk finish business card is best for you. it gives you the ability to write on it if needed and gives a own to earth feel when handed to a client.

if you are selling products from a shop then a gloss business card could be the best fit for you. the shiny finish gives a classy look and gloss finish business cards are getting rarer , so having PrintDsign make up a set of gloss business cards can make you more memorable to customers.

matte business cards are coming the norm now. the matte finish makes them easy to read and make whatever design is on them clearer. matte business cards to suitable for all businesses and this is one of the most popular business card style that we sell at PrintDsign.

velvet finish business cards to a relatively new product to printdsign but offer that extra wow factor that matte card had before they became so popular. the velvet finish of these business cards makes them very tactile and results in a lot of clients wanting to keep hold of them for longer.

our velvet business cards are best suited for companies who sell higher priced items and business services. interior designers, performance car dealers, fashion boutiques, etc

at PrintDsign we also sell plastic business cards. these are some of the most expensive business cards available but they offer the maximum in quality and longevity. clients will rarely throw away a plastic business card because it feels  so expensive.

at PrintDsign Manchester we offer full colour plastic business cards that can include all colours. and we also offer transparent plastic business cards that offer a big wow factor to clients.

spot UV should also come into consideration when ordering a set of business cards. if the design you have chosen for your business cards could do with a little more fizz we can add a spot UV service to put al layer of gloss finish on top of sections of your design. when paired with a matte finish business card a section of spot UV can totally transform the overall look of your business card.

in addition to spot UV printing services we also have foiling available for some of our business cards. foiling allows us at printdsign manchester to add shiny silver or gold to sections of your business card design to give it that little something special that will raise it up above the business cards.

Why invest in premium quality business cards?

Why don’t I just get my new business cards from the advert on TV for £5?

if you are starting up a new business then money can be tight, so it really should be invested in the areas that matter. although a set of £5 business cards will help you to leave your contact details with a client easily, they will also do your new  company a disservice.

£5 business cards do seem a great deal but they are a low print quality, generic design (that your clint may have seen on someone else card before) and low card thickness, this means that you are leaving your details with a new client on a low quality card that they are less likely to want to keep on them.

alternatively you can come to PrintDsign Manchester, spend a little more but be rewarded with a set of bespoke business cards that are designed just for you (we don’t use design templates), are of a high print quality and heavy card thickness. Overall giving your business cards a higher end look and feel that will make your new clients much more likely to want to keep you card on their person.

PrintDsign are based in Manchester but can offer our stationery printing services throughout the UK. We are of course also interested in local businesses (as we offer a huge range of advertising, display and design services as well) so if you are based in Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon, Dunham, Stretford, Sale, Timperley or any of the surrounding areas please get in touch to talk to us about your business stationery needs.

Double sided Flyers or single? – little price difference with twice the advertising space

it really is down to how much info you want to advertise but at PrintDsign Manchester the price difference between our single sided flyer and our double sided flyers is very small. and if you go for a double sided flyer print you effectively get twice the advertising space on each flyer.

short term event flyers are after discarded one they are read, so duplicating your flyer design, and adding it to the reverse of your printed flyers will give the added bonus of the discarded flyers still advertising if they are left on the floor.

however if you are looking to use the flyers for business promotion and may need to give directions or information to your clients, a single sided flyer can become very useful. having the back of your flyers blank can give a great space to write additional and bespoke information for your customer, expanding your one-to-one dealing with each client and giving them a personal service.

What is the difference between flyer paper thicknesses? ……. 150gsm? 250gsm?

GSM…. what is gsm? whenever you order flyers or leaflets this is always a bit of printing jargon that confuses. GSM means grams per square metre, it references the thickness of the paper that is used in our flyers.

At PrintDsign we offer a variety of paper thickness for our flyers and leaflets.

our current range includes

as you would expect the thicker the flyer, the higher the price, but our flyers prices are very competitive at prindsign, so the increases in cost per flyer is very minimal if you go up a paper thickness n your flyer order.

At PrintDsign we know design and printing very well so are always happy to give our 2 cents on what paper thickness works best for your needs.

for example if you need flyers for a short term event and are just effectively flyering then we would recommend 150gsm flyer for maybe something even lighter in paperweight. our 150gsm flyers are of great quality but due to the thickness (thinness) of the material they can be a little see through when printed double sided and as they are our cheapest flyer option, they do look it when compared to the rest of our printed flyer range.

if you are looking to create a folded flyer menu we would recommend going for a 150gsm or 250gsm paperweight. this thickness of flyer will fold well and becomes handy to put into a handbag or post through a letterbox. Going for a thicker flyer for a menu is just likely to make the flyer too rigid and harder for the user to keep once you have given it to them.

out 350gsm and 450gsm flyers are best for advertising a new company or launching a product. the extra thickness of the 350gsm flyer and 450gsm flyers over the 250gsm flyers mens that they are much more noticeable if they are posted (they make a noise when dropped through  letterbox) and if places in a magazine or newspaper the added thickness and rigidity makes the flyers appear more substantial. for example if the 450gsm flyer are placed inside a magazine they will be the first flyers to be be removed as the magazine will be hard to read with the flyers inserted.

the 450gsm flyers we offer at PrintDsign in Manchester are of a great quality and are great for promoting a new company or brand. the added thickness and high print quality creates a high end feeling flyer that customers will want to keep hold of.
